If your answer is YES, then the European Aniridia Leadership and Collaboration Academy (EALCA) is for you.

What Is EALCA?

EALCA is an inspiring 3-day leadership academy designed to empower the next generation of leaders in the aniridia community. Through practical workshops, expert guidance, and international collaboration, you will develop ideas and skills that benefit both you and the wider aniridia community.

This academy will help you grow your:

✅ Self-confidence

✅ Interpersonal and communication skills

✅ Ability to organise people and projects

✅ Knowledge of aniridia and the European community

You will meet inspiring leaders, professionals, doctors, scientists, and advocates from around the world—many of whom also live with aniridia. Together, you will build meaningful, long-lasting connections.

Who Should Apply?

Anyone associated with aniridia is welcome to apply.

We especially encourage applications from people aged 18–40 in Europe who are interested in becoming the next generation of volunteers and leaders, including:

  • People with aniridia
  • Family members
  • Young advocates
  • Volunteers
  • Emerging leaders

You may be entirely new to community work, or already active in an association. What matters most is your energy, curiosity, and motivation to step up.
