The conference will be held at the Hilton hotel in central Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, in Eastern Europe.

A reservation is considered confirmed only after full payment is received!
Preferential prices are per night and are only valid for 16 April to 19 April 2026 for reservations made through Arbilis Ltd. For a single room, it is €175, for a double room, it is €205.
Also, you can book your accommodation directly with the Hilton Hotel if you find a better deal.
Changes, substitutions, and cancellations:
All changes and cancellations must be submitted in writing to ARBILIS Ltd.

Cancellations made up until 28.02.2026 can be fully refunded, with a deduction of a €25 administrative fee.
Cancellations made after 28.02.2026: cannot be refunded
If you’re unable to attend, a colleague can come in your place.
Travel
Hilton Sofia: Location & Transport.
By air
Nearest: Sofia Airport (SOF), also known as Vasil Levski Sofia Airport, located about 10 km from the Hilton Hotel.

Taxi
Taxis are a convenient way to reach the Hilton Hotel from both the airport and central city hubs.
- Sofia Airport to Hilton Sofia is ~ 9.6 km and takes 12 minutes without traffic.
- Sofia Central Railway Station to Hilton Sofia, is about 5 minutes and costs approximately €4–6.
Use official YELLOW TAXI (look for “Taxi” signage, meter, etc.). Ask for an estimate before you start or ensure the meter is running.
Pre-booking a private transfer is often more comfortable for groups or with luggage.
VOLT are luxury dark green BMW taxis with the option to pre-book a day and time and cost approximately €15-16 each way.
Hilton also has a transfer service to and from the airport, but it is priced at €60 for up to 4 people in one car.
By metro
From the Airport:
Take Metro Line 4 from Terminal 2 to Bul. Vasil Levski station then walk Hilton Sofia.
The trip takes roughly 38–45 minutes, costing about €1 (single fare) or BGN 1.60.
From Sofia Central Railway Station:
Take Metro Line 2 to European Union (Evropeyski Soyuz) station, then walk Hilton Sofia.

The European Aniridia Conference will be conducted in English.

As the conference organiser, Aniridia Bulgaria is an organisation run by and for people with a visual impairment; we are very keen to make all the adjustments we reasonably can for people with disabilities.
